Share a Customized QuickBooks Report With Anyone, via a Google Sheet Link

The problem

One great thing that classic reports had was that we could build a report with all sorts of customizations and share them with any QBO user outside the company. With modern reports that is not possible.

Classic reports let you build a customized report, capture it in a URL, save it as a global template, and share it with anyone. The modern reports dropped shareable custom URLs and global template saving, so a report you tailored for a client can't be handed off cleanly, and you rebuild the same customizations for every new client.

Why QuickBooks can't do it

Modern reports keep customizations inside a saved report tied to your account, not in a shareable URL, and template saving is no longer global. Sharing outside the company, or reusing a template across clients, isn't supported the way it was.

Do it in Google Sheets with Retriever
