Intuit Reports API Update

Hi Retrievers,

On August 31, 2026, Intuit is transitioning their reports API to their modern view reporting service. While we've been working hard to adapt to the changes and ensure minimal disruption, there are some impacts to Retriever reports I wanted to communicate.

Here's what's changing:

Retired reports

Intuit is retiring API access to several reports that are not supported by their modern view service. The following reports will no longer refresh after August 31, 2026:

  • Transaction Detail
  • Balance Sheet Detail
  • Sales by Customer Detail
  • Sales by Product Detail
  • Unpaid Bills
  • Open Purchase Order List
  • Physical Inventory Worksheet

Note: Summary reports (Sales by Customer and Sales by Product) are unaffected.

Created By and Last Modified By columns

The Open Invoices, Invoice List, and Time Activity reports will no longer return two lesser-used columns: "Created By" and "Last Modified By". If your reports include either of these columns, they will be removed automatically upon refreshing.

Recommended workarounds

If you rely on the Transaction Detail report, the General Ledger and Transaction List reports offer the closest available alternatives. The former shares similar columns and filtering capabilities while the latter shares a similar, ungrouped structure.

If you rely on Unpaid Bills, the A/P Aging Detail report is the closest available alternative for open vendor balances as of a given date.

I recognize the inconvenience and sincerely apologize for the disruption. I'm personally frustrated by the degradation in Intuit's API service. With that said, I'm here to help you navigate this transition.
